The Poster Museum functions in the same premises with Lahti Art Museum. That means that poster exhibitions take turns with art exhibitions.

Before your visit, please check our exhibition calendar for poster displays.

Ilya Klemencov: They Can Disappear 2010.

Lahti Poster Museum was established in 1975 and its aim is to collect, deposit and study Finnish and international graphic design. The collections are augmented mainly through donations but also through purchases. The collections contain (2017) approximately 75 000 prints, most of which are posters.

The Graphic Designers, The Finnish Fair Cooperation and the publishing company Otava, among others, have deposited posters at the museum. The Cooperative Union and the publishing company WSOY have donated their poster collections to Lahti Poster Museum.
