Lahti City Museum

Lahti City Museum collects, maintains and exhibits cultural historical, natural historical and art collections deposited in it. The units of Lahti City Museum are Lahti Historical Museum, Lahti Art Museum, Poster Museum, Ski Museum, Radio and TV Museum and Picture Archives. The financial administration office of the museum is located at Askonkatu 9 F, Lahti.

Lahti Historical Museum is also the regional museum of the Päijät-Häme district and Lahti Art Museum is a regional art museum in the Päijät-Häme district.

Art performance dealing with the Finnish civil war in 1918 aims to involve 22 000 participants

24th January, 2013 - The Finnish artist Kaisa Salmi will realize a large-scale participatory performance “Fellman Field - Living Monument of 22 000 People” in Lahti, Finland on Sunday the 28th of April 2013.

The International Lahti Poster Biennial Becomes a Triennial

2.5.2012 - The event will be renewed and a comprehensive selection of international poster art will be on view in Lahti next time in 2014. The exhibition will become a poster triennial, arranged every third year.
